1874 Northwich are proving to be a football club that businesses are attracted to supporting.

A multi-year home kit sponsorship deal has been confirmed with Anderton-based company Shadow Foam Ltd.

The side are in pre-season training ahead of the start of their 2023-24 campaign in Northern Premier League West and have revealed their new kit, with the home shirt also featuring sponsorship on the back from FundMyPitch.com - an innovative business-funding organisation.

1874 chairman Stephen Richardson said: “The club is immensely grateful to both Shadow Foam and FundMyPitch for the support and confidence that they have shown in 1874 Northwich, and we look forward to working closely with both organisations in promoting their business to a wider audience within the north west footballing community.”

It is a big move for family business Shadow Foam, who have also recently opened the not-for-profit community-inspired business Northwich Makerspace on a neighbouring unit in Cosgrove Business Park.

Owner Jonathan Shone said: “There seems to be a great synergy between ourselves and 1874.

“We’re less than half a mile away from one another, and both celebrated our ten-year anniversaries back in November last year.

“I’m a big football fan, as are most of my staff, with most of us living locally too.

“Just like our own business, the club are vibrant and ambitious and are just the sort of community club we want to be aligned with.”
