BUNNIES have been baring their teeth at vets in Kingsmead as part of a national rabbit week.
Three out of four rabbits seen by vets are diagnosed with dental problems, which can even prove fatal, so Ark Veterinary Surgery, in Kingsmead Square, is inviting rabbit owners to bring their pets in for free dental check-ups until Monday, February 4.
The practice will be holding an awareness evening, to give owners top tips on rabbit health, as their pets' teeth can grow up to 3mm a week and they need plenty of hay and grass to chew to keep them ground down.
