RESIDENTS across Northwich have been rallying to raise money to pay for a five-year-olds life-saving cancer treatment.

Hundreds were touched by Jacob Marsland's fight against a rare form of aggressive cancer as reported in the Guardian two weeks ago.

Jake has Neuroblastoma which has spread to his bones. Chemotherapy has not managed to get rid of the cancerous cells so a £200,000 treatment in the US may be the last chance he has.

Donations and offers to help with fundraising for the Kingsmead lad have been flooding in and several special charity events have already been arranged.

On Saturday lovers of country music can don their cowboy boots and enjoy a spot of line dancing at a live county music afternoon in Weaver Square, Northwich, from 10am to 3pm.

On Friday, November 30 a special evening of live music will be held at Walton Hall in Walton Gardens, Warrington.

If you would like to make a donation or help with fundraising, call Frances Kindon on 01606 813621.
