PUNISHMENTS were dished out to problem parkers in Davenham on Friday.
A team of nine officers issued parking tickets after residents raised the issue at their latest community action meeting.
Davenham PCSO Richard Forster said: "As the residents who attended the community action meeting told us, the parking issue is of major concern and needed immediate attention.
"This will be ongoing and hopefully people will soon know that parking illegally will be targeted.
"We hope the residents realise this is happening due to many villagers raising concerns over parking."
Officers handed out nine fixed penalty notices during the crackdown and offered advice to other motorists and passers-by.
The main problems were people parking in the bus stop by the post office, in London Road, parking on pavements and obstructing them and parking on double yellow lines.
PCSO Forster also warned that drivers who block driveways will be given a £30 fixed penalty notice.
The crackdown will spread to Moulton in the coming weeks after residents there also raised concerns about illegal parking.
The next community action meeting will be held in Davenham Methodist Church, in Firthfields, from 7.30pm on October 31.
