A POPULAR night of music is set to make its long-awaited comeback in Moulton next month.
Malt’n’Music, an event bringing a variety of musical talents to the village hall, returns on September 28 following a 17-month hiatus, with ‘cult hero’ Blair Dunlop putting on a show.
With fresh faces helping out behind the scenes and a familiar one on stage, it is hoped the gig will pave the way to further regular Malt’n’Music events.
David Tunstall, one of the founding members, said: “We have got one of the co-founders who has recently moved back up from London, so we have got a new impetus, and new people helping in organising the gigs.
“We felt that Gilmore and Roberts [in April 2017] were going to be the last people to play and they were saying how much the smaller, up-and-coming acts relied on these kinds of venues.
“It’s our way of putting something back into music. We enjoy it and it’s a way to be involved.
“With an extra pair of hands and a couple of new members, we’ve got a few things planned.”
Now touring his fourth album, natural storyteller and gifted guitarist Blair will be joined on stage by long term band mates Fred Claridge and Jacob Stoney.
