AN 11-strong team from Roberts Bakery recently completed the 10k Rough Runner obstacle course and mud-run at Arley Hall, raising more than £500 in the process.

The team took on the challenge to raise funds for The Joshua Tree in Northwich, The Children’s Adventure Farm near Knutsford, St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford and Cotswold House in Winsford.

Rachel Dickinson, PA at Roberts Bakery, said: “It was a great day and the team really got stuck in to the challenge. It was fantastic to take part in this community event and raise money for these local charities that are close to our hearts.”

Roberts Bakery has established strong links with all four charities and volunteers from the business regularly donate their time to them.

A team of eight people from Roberts recently helped with maintenance work at CAFT and, in the last 18 months, Roberts has given more than 50 days of volunteer time at Cotswold House.

The company also raised £1200 to buy new beds for Cotswold House and donated £300 to buy new bedding.

Fourth generation Roberts’ family member Lindsay Occleston said: “Community is at the heart of our business and it is so important for us to support the great work of these four charities.

"Taking part in sporting events and volunteering brings everyone together and really does help to make a difference to peoples’ lives.”
