VALE Royal Lions, Citizens Advice and the Guardian are making a final push to help keep vulnerable residents warm this winter.
So far £1,200 has been raised in this year’s Fuel Bank appeal, with £400 having already been given out by Citizens Advice to those who struggle to pay their energy bills.
But more money is needed to help families struggling to pay off their bills in the months following Christmas.
Rob Brown, president of Vale Royal Lions, said: “We would like to thank all those who have donated to this annual campaign.
“However, more is needed, as we know from experience that the greatest need for this aid is during the months of January to March.”
Donations are welcome from senior citizens who can afford to donate some of their winter fuel allowance, or from other individuals and businesses who can make a contribution.
Cheques can be made payable to Vale Royal Lions and sent to Vale Royal Lions, 10 Blandford Drive, Northwich, CW9 8UD, with ‘fuel bank’ marked on the reverse.
