A WORKER on the Winnington Village housing development is in critical condition following an incident on the site yesterday, Tuesday.
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were sent to the scene off Winnington avenue at 1.47pm.
The man was taken to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance and police say an investigation has now been launched into the incident.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “We were called to the Winnington Village site along with ambulance services where a worker had been injured.
“He was sent to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance where is believed to be in critical condition.
“A joint investigation has now been launched with Cheshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive.”
