MONEY raised through the Hartford Film Club’s 2016/17 season has been donated to a number of Cheshire charities.
Trish Parker, from Hartford, started the film club in 2006 following the closure of The Regal Cinema.
The club shows one film a month until the season ends, with the profits being divided among Cheshire charities.
The film club’s 10th season raised £1,800, which has now been donated to 10 charities.
Donations were made to the following charities:
Age UK (£200); Alzeimers Society (£100); Grange School Charity (£300); Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity (£200); Neuro Muscular Centre (£100) Northwich Samaritans (£200); Riding for the Disabled (£100); St Luke’s Hospice (£200); Stroke Association (£100) and Tiny Steps (£100).
The second movie in the 11th season, Victoria and Abdul, will be shown at the Grange Theatre on Tuesday, October 24.
Tickets cost £5 and can be bought from Hartford Dry Cleaners and Elson News.
