A TANK had to be removed from the A556 after 100 litres of diesel had spilt onto the carriageway in Plumley.
Firefighters were called out to the incident at 4.06pm on Thursday, August 17, on the Northwich-bound carriageway close to The Smoker, in Chester Road.
One fire engine from Northwich and one from Lymm attended the scene, where crews assisted with the removal of the diesel tank from the road after it had become detached from the vehicle.
Police closed the nearside of the A556 while the incident was dealt with, and highways were also requested to attend.
