THREE records were set in the Moulton Pound the Bounds event, which attracted 97 entries.

The event is a 4.2-mile road and cross-country race around Moulton, and is organised by the Moulton Events Committee.

It cost £1 to enter, and there were trophies and rosettes up for grabs in five categories, men’s, women’s, under-16 girls, under-16 boys and over-65s. There were certificates for everyone who took part.

The course is part road/part cross-country and part river, with an uphill section through Moulton tunnels, and all proceeds go towards Moulton Crow Fair.

Thanks went to GRC Aerials for sponsoring the over 65s trophy and rosettes; The Lion for sponsoring the women’s and men’s trophies, and AMC Coaching and Performance for sponsoring the under 16 girls and under 16 boy's trophies.

The Moulton scarecrow theme this year is sport.

Entry forms are available from McColls, The Lion, The Traveller's Rest, The Verdin Club and Boden's Farm.

Entry forms have to be in by Saturday, and scarecrows have to be up by Friday, June 23 - 10am on Saturday, June 24 at the very latest.

Maps for scarecrow hunters will be out at 10am on Saturday, June 24.

Official photographs for the Crow Fairvoting station will be taken on Sunday, June 25.

Last year more than 200 scarecrow trail maps were used and more than 400 votes were cast on Crow Fair day.
