CHILDREN can experience what life was like in the workhouse at Weaver Hall Museum over the Easter holidays.
The museum is staging a series of activities revolving around what pauper children would expect when they were taken into the workhouse, such as doing chores and school lessons.
Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6 will focus on chores such as oakum picking, laundry and rag rug making.
On Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13 children will be able to experience a Victorian school lesson and play with period toys.
Activities run from 10am to 4pm - drop in anytime. The cost is £1.50 per child, who need to be accompanied by an adult.
