THE Chesterway Wacky Warehouse in Northwich is scheduled to reopen next month under a new name.
Manchester brewer Joseph Holt has acquired the former Greene King Site, which is currently closed while it undergoes a major investment of £700,000 with a view to re-open in mid-March.
The pub will be renamed the Clock Tower @ Northwich.
The new pub will offer carvery seven days a week and will have 165 dining covers. It will also have a small outdoor play area and indoor play area. There will be a large outdoor area for dining and drinking.
As well as offering dining facilities, the pub will also offer a range of beers and an extensive wine menu.
The business will have a specific drinks area, which will show live sports on an 80-inch screen TV.
Richard Kershaw, chief executive of Joseph Holt, said: “We’re very excited by our purchase and major refurbishment of the Chesterway in Northwich.
“We will reopen in mid-March as a new Pub Restaurant.
“We will be serving food all day with a newly created fresh menu as well as a carvery deck and especially welcome families to our newly created Family dining area.
“We will also be serving our excellent award-winning Joseph Holt beers in our newly created bar area.
“We are delighted to be able to invest in the local community by creating 40 jobs for local people.”
