THE Lion Salt Works Museum is offering a year of days out and discounts and other offers in a month-long promotion of its annual pass.

Anyone buying an adult or family annual pass between Saturday, January 14 and Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14 will be offered a 10 per cent discount on the shop and café throughout the year, a free guide book on the Lion Salt Works (worth £5) and tokens for four free coffees from the museum’s café.

The museum’s programme for 2017 includes Super Salt Saturday, when the museum celebrates British Science Week, A May Bank Holiday ‘Magic at the Museum’ event, an ‘Age of Steam’ weekend, a Murder Mystery evening, the annual Big Butterfly Count, top folk act Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, and imaginative and cutting-edge plays, rounded off by a spectacular Dickensian Christmas.

Councillor Louise Gittins said: “Annual membership means you can visit the museum whenever you want, and represents great value, especially with this month-long promotion.

“The staff, volunteers and trustees are brimming with enthusiasm and passion for the museum, so whether you come in the height of summer to enjoy the butterflies or whether you are coming for a steam event, to watch a salt boiling or see a play, there is always a warm welcome.”
