Northwich boutique toasts to the future with official opening

Pre Pre Pre Boutique, in High Street, opened its doors in July and held its official launch event on August 19.

The store is run by Lili Li, who moved to Northwich from her native home of Shanghai in 2001.

On Friday, customers and fellow business-owners braved the wet weather to come into the store and wish her luck for the future.

“The day was good but the weather was raining that day,” Lili said.

“One of our customers ran through the rain to bring us a congratulations card.

“Other business people from the high street came and congratulated us as well.”

Lili told the Guardian earlier this month she wanted to ‘bring a little of colour' to people in Northwich to 'make people feel brighter’.

The fashionista said she wants to offer Northwich residents an alternative to the current offerings in the area.

And despite only being open for a few weeks, Lili said she is already starting to gain some loyal customers.

She said: “A lot of people, they know we like to be a bit different and they come and say they are struggling to find something different.

"It’s given me quite a lot of confidence.

“We have one customer from London who has been in three times now. Her mum is not well so she brought her in to do some shopping.

“Another customer from Kent was asking if we had another shop closer to her. I said ‘no, not yet’. She said, ‘please, please, please’.”

The name of the store, Pre Pre Pre Boutique, stands for pretty, precious and pre order – three core ethos of the store.

All of the pieces, which will be seasonal, are picked by Lili and her team from around the world.

Many of the wares will only be available as one-off pieces.

“I wanted to do it by the seasons,” Lili said.

“I want people to come in the store and we say, ‘this year, the fashion will be this.”

In the coming weeks, Lili will also introduce a dedicated section just for pre-orders.
