POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery on a 61-year-old man.
The incident happened in Royle Street, Northwich at 9.10pm on Sunday, January 31.
Det Con Martin Regan said: "The victim was walking into Northwich town centre when he was approached by a large group of men who asked the victim for money while producing a weapon.
"Thankfully the victim suffered no injuries and managed to get away from the group and contacted the police."
