A WICKED queen took a break from seasonal panto to entertain businesswomen in Northwich town centre.

Edwina Currie, who plays the Wicked Queen in Northwich Memorial Court's pantomime Snow White, gave a talk at a networking coffee morning organised by Hartford woman Sue France.

The Creative Connecting in Cheshire event took place in the bar at Memorial Court on December 21 and Edwina spent more than an hour giving her talk and answering questions from the 35 women who attended.

Sue said: "I hold business events all over Cheshire and usually the Northwich business women have to travel to Knutsford or further afield.

"It was fantastic to be able to hold a quality event in Northwich this time.

"The room at the venue was perfect for a business coffee morning and the team at Brio Leisure ensured that everything ran like clockwork.

"So not only were we thrilled that Edwina came to meet us, we were pleased that she introduced us to a smart new meeting room in the centre of Northwich.

"Some of us attended the pantomime after the meeting and thoroughly enjoyed it and we decided it was just as much fun for adults as for children."
