A HIGH street cafe held an unexpected celebration after it missed a landmark anniversary.
Kanya held a week of events to celebrate its 11th birthday, after staff surprised owner Nagendra Kumar Prasad with a birthday card to mark his taking over the cafe five years ago.
They realised this meant it had been 11 years since the popular High Street cafe first opened its doors, and that they had missed Kanya's 10th birthday last summer.
To celebrate the cafe gave customers a treat with their meals and discount vouchers for future visits.
