AN UNDERGROUND world will be revealed at a Northwich museum this summer holiday.

Visitors to Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse, in London Road, can learn about salt mining in Northwich and make a model salt mine during activities on Wednesday, August 12, and Thursday, August 13.

On the following week, August 19 and 20, youngsters can make a dinosaur with moving arms, legs and wings.

The final summer holiday activity at Weaver Hall Museum is to create a Lowry masterpiece using real matchsticks on August 26 and 27.

Meanwhile at the Lion Salt Works, in Marston, visitors can meet characters from the past and learn about their jobs on August 11 and 12, make salt on August 18 and 19 and create some weird and wonderful art by salt painting on August 25 and 26.
