A ROAD closure starts on part of the A556 tonight, Friday.

The closure will be in place between the Gadbrook Park traffic lights and Davenham roundabout but only on the westbound carriageway.

This will be closed between 10pm today, Friday, and 5am tomorrow Saturday then again from 10pm on Saturday and 5am on Sunday.

A signed diversion will be in place through Northwich for all Chester-bound traffic.

The closure is for remedial works on the road to be carried out safely at the Shurlach Lane/A556 new improved junction.
