INTERNATIONALLY-renowned artist Julia Midgley drew the fascinated attention of her audience with her novel contribution to a conference at the Grange School in Hartford.
Julia spoke about the role that drawing has in her work at the Liverpool Art and Design conference, the theme of which was looking to the future.
She wowed the audience with her insightful and challenging work, which is based around archaeology, medicine and war art.
She continued to draw during the conference, with her drawing being filmed and projected as the other speakers gave presentations.
Following Julia was Ivan Davies, chief examiner for WJEC/Eduquas, Laura Harris from Christie’s education department and Julia Sprake, head of design at Goldsmiths College.
