AN EVENT organiser has teamed up with a country house hotel to raise money for a charity that is close to her heart.

Claudia Dickens, from Weaverham, has organised a Glitz and Glamour charity evening at Cranage Hall in aid of St Luke's Hospice.

The event will include arrival drinks, three-course dinner, evening entertainment, auction, raffle, casino table and an on site photographer.

Auction prizes include a holiday worth more than £1,000, a signed Manchester United FC football, a signed Everton FC football and a £150 facial voucher.

Claudia, who runs Kee Days professional event organisers, hopes to raise between £5,000 and £10,000 for the Winsford-based hospice, where her stepdad Gerald Rutter passed away.

"St Luke's is very close to my heart," she said.

"For me this is about a charity that does a fantastic job and doesn't get support from the NHS or government.

"It's somewhere for people to go and is a bit of respite for those who look after them

"I know a lot of people that have been supported at St Luke's and it's good to give something back."

St Luke's Hospice is also one of Cranage Hall's chosen charities.

The event takes place from 7pm on may 23.

Tickets, priced £35, are available by ringing Claudia on 07738 058656 or emailing keedays@hotmail.co.uk
