A NORTHWICH charity shop has celebrated its first year of trading and has said it is on the hunt for stock following a busy period of trading.

Relate at Home, based at 107 Witton Street, celebrates it's first year of opening this week with big celebrations following a successful year of business.

The shop which mainly sells secondhand furniture, household items and soft furnishings also has a clothing section with books and bric-a-brac.

Shop manager, Denise Morrey, who runs the shop with a team of loyal volunteers always welcomes donations of stock, larger items of furniture can be collected free of charge and any purchases can also be delivered for a small charge by the Relate delivery van which is always seen flying around the Northwich area.

Denise told the Guardian: "We are always pleased to look at house clearances or help with downsizing properties.

"Relate is a local charity working across Cheshire and Merseyside, offering a range of counselling services which include adults, families and young people who are experiencing the breakdown of family life through divorce, separation and other conflicts.

"Parenting help is also offered through short training courses which are also run locally."

She added she was looking forward to another successful year raising much needed funds for Relate.
