MIDDLEWICH Good Neighbours group received a visit from the High Sheriff of Cheshire at Drinks and Bites café on Wheelock Street.
The group’s members gathered at the café to meet the special guest, Susan Sellers, and listen to a talk about her role as the High Sheriff.
Susan went along to meet the group to find out more about the work they do and the volunteers were delighted with the interest.
Ceri Edwards said: “The event went really well. Susan did a talk about the role of the High Sheriff and everyone was really interested in hearing about it.
“It was a good chance to introduce our members to the High Sheriff and also a chance to meet each other as well because we don’t really meet up like this.
“The volunteers really enjoyed meeting Susan and I think a visit from such a prestigious person made them feel valued and appreciated.
“It happened to coincide with our 100th member joining the group as well which worked out nice.”
