A FOOTBALL match between two town centre pubs raised £1,200 for a Northwich charity.
Teams from the Green Dragon and the Witton Chimes clashed on the pitch at Whalley Road on December 28 in aid of Tiny Steps.
The match was won 8-5 by the Witton Chimes.
Stephen Carter, who works for Barclays at Radbroke Hall, organised the event for Tiny Steps, which was set up by a Davenham family hoping to provide a sensory play area and social cafe for children with additional needs and their families.
Stephen said: "What a day! Massive thanks to everyone who played, helped, donated, watched, drank and joined in."
The day also included a half time ladies penalty shoot-out and drinks and Christmas fun at both pubs.
Man of the Match was David Fox, Goal of the Game was Stephen Carter and If In Doubt Dribble Out was Shaun Boyle.
The event itself raised £600 which was matched by Barclays.
Laura Clifton, from Tiny Steps, said: "The football match was a huge success.
"We want to say a huge thank you to Stephen Carter for all his organising and all the local support from the two pubs and all those who donated."
