PRESIDENT Joy Hoad introduced the speaker, Lawrence Goddard, a representative of Wiltshire Farm Foods. They are based in Trowbridge where the food is cooked, packed and frozen before being distributed to franchises around the country, from where the food is dispatched to customers’ homes. Their products only need to be reheated in a microwave oven before consumption.
Lawrence reheated some samples of meals for members to try, followed by samples of delicious puddings. Jackie Walker thanked Lawrence for his most interesting talk.
Members showed interest in an invitation by Plumley WI to join them in a visit to Oswaldtwistle Mill on November 27. The raffle was won by Joy Hoad and Jean Burrows.
The next meeting which is the AGM is on Monday, November 10 at 7:30pm in Lach Dennis Village Hall.
