THOUSANDS of visitors enjoyed the 20th annual countryside fair at Blakemere Village.
The two day event, held on July 26 and 27, featured animals, displays, entertainment, food, crafts and children’s activities.
proceeds from the event will go to Blakemere’s new charity The Gordon Gerrard Charitable Trust, named after the founder of Blakemere who passed away in October after a short illness.
To carry on Gordon's vision his family, who still own and run the centre, decided there would be no better tribute to his hard work than to set up a charity in his name, raising funds to help local causes who need a boost.
Ginny Brooks-White, who runs the site, said: “My father was a very caring man who lived in this part of Cheshire all of his life.
“He loved helping people and to be able to help local charities and organisations in his memory would mean a lot to him, and will mean a lot to us as his family.”
