ART lovers can see the talent Northwich has to offer with a stroll through the town centre during July.

The third Northwich Art Trail will run from July 5 to 26, with 100 works by local artists for sale in 50 shops.

Organised by Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC), the trail starts at Jack Gee Cycles and runs along Witton Street, High Street, Leicester Street, the Bull Ring and Weaver Square.

Participating artists include Bernice Tackley, Fiona Plaisted, Tony Snowball, Mike Troy and Alan Carr.

Members of the public will be asked to vote for their favourite piece of art.

Gill Snowball, from VAC, said: “Visual Arts Cheshire, the organisers of the Northwich Art Trail, are still very busy and committed to bringing artistic talent to the Northwich community.

“Since leaving the gallery in Brunner Square they have been pursuing suitable empty premises in order to provide Northwich with a town centre gallery once again.

“It will hopefully not be too long before the VAC Gallery is once again a town centre feature and a hub for artists and the wider, general public.

“In the meantime please visit the Art Trail in the town centre, buy art or vote for your favourite and support the local shops who have kindly donated valuable window space to exhibit the art work throughout the month of July.”
