AN encampment of Travellers that arrived on Verdin Fields in Winsford last weekend has been evicted from the site.
Specialist liaison officers from Cheshire West and Chester Council visited the site on Monday to carry out welfare checks.
At 4pm on Tuesday, June 24, the council issued a Section 61 notice under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.
The notice gave the Travellers until 10am this morning, June 25, to leave the site.
The group of 19 caravans and associated vehicles have now departed.
