AN ARTISAN bakery owner is heading up a prestigious Cheshire festival in April.
Jane Mooney, from Williamsons of Castle, is chairman of the Chester Food and Drink and Lifestyle Festival 2014 for the fifth year running.
The event, one of the largest of its kind in the UK, runs from April 19 to 21 at Chester Racecourse.
Jane said: “We are looking to double the visitor numbers this year and add to the contribution of over £1.5m to the local economy and with talented chefs such as Sunday brunch’s Simon Rimmer, and of course my husband Dave Mooney doing several cooking demonstrations over the weekend it should be a great event.
“There are more than 150 exhibitors, a dedicated barbecue cooking area, interactive kids cooking scene and an area dedicated to the Grosvenor Arts society.”
