A NORTHWICH mum has returned from overseas and launched her own business.

Mum-of-two Jacquie Hudson, who grew up in Northwich, has moved back from Ireland after a successful career in marketing, including setting up a marketing consultancy in Dublin.

On her return to Hartford she decided to open Hudson Marketing Consultancy at Whitehall Business Centre, in School Lane.

Jacquie, who went to Witton Church Walk CE Primary School, Rudheath High School and Sir John Deane’s College, said: “I had often thought about starting my own business but there never seemed to be a good time.

“In 2012 I reached a crossroads in my career and family life, so I grasped this window of opportunity and finally realised my ambition in June that year when I launched my marketing consultancy business in Ireland.

“I haven’t looked back since.”

Jacquie continues to provide freelance marketing advice and support to a number of Irish businesses and during the past 16 years has worked with architects, professional bodies and trade associations, surveying companies, accountancy firms and HR consultancies in the UK and Ireland.

Jacquie said: “For many small to medium businesses, hiring an in-house marketing employee is simply not an option and yet it is probably fair to say that most business owners understand the importance of marketing to grow their business.

“I wanted to make marketing support accessible to all businesses, no matter what their size but without the big agency fees.”

To mark the launch of the business, Hudson Marketing Consultancy is offering a free one-hour consultation to professional services companies in Cheshire.
