A NETWORKING company is celebrating its first birthday with a party in aid of a Northwich charity.
Cheshire Ladders, run by Amanda May, started life in January 2013 as a page on Facebook to bring the county’s businesses together.
Now Amanda organises events and helps companies with social media.
“When I started it it was just a community page just to get small businesses talking,” she said.
“Then all of a sudden it took off.
“It was like a breath of fresh air for the businesses who were meeting people they didn’t know existed but were just round the corner.
“Then they said ‘can we start meeting face-to-face and can you organise it?’.
“I was working full time and got made redundant but thought ‘I love doing this so why not make a business out of it?’.”
The party will take place at Witton Albion Social Club on March 1 and is in aid of The Joshua Tree, Cheshire Ladders’ charity of 2014.
The evening includes a buffet from Kanya, in Northwich, live music, a DJ and a raffle.
Young Entrepreneur awards will also be given out on the night.
Tickets are £20 and are available by emailing Amanda at cheshireladdersuk@yahoo.co.uk.
Amanda is also appealing for more raffle prizes for the night.
