WINCHAM is set to welcome an internationally renowned Country Music award winner this Christmas.

Singer-song writer Steven Doyle will be performing blues, gentle pop and easy listening – including some of his two-time award winning Irish country music – at Wincham Community Centre, on Church Street, on Friday, December 13.

The Irish-born performer expressed a desire to perform after the Guardian publicised Wincham Village People’s entertainment schedule.

Doyle, who records with Harvest Moon Records and was the subject of TV documentary ‘Steven Doyle – Strictly Country’, has asked for all profits to be donated to the Railway Children charity in Sandbach.

“We are so taken by Steven’s act of kindness and generosity we really want to make this a success,” said Clr Annie Makepeace.

“Every penny we make will go to Steven’s chosen children’s charity, which protects and supports homeless and runaway children.

“Most appropriate at Christmas, I thought.”

Tickets for the Steven Doyle Show cost £6 per adult and £4 per child, family tickets are available for two adults and two to three children for £18.

There is no bar at the venue but people are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks, tea, coffee and squash will be available, as will a quiet area for tired children.

To purchase tickets contact Annie on 01565 734226 or pakamak@btinternet.com.
