SHOPPERS are being urged to take a good look around Northwich town centre this Christmas and vote for their favourite shop window.

The Guardian has launched its festive window dressing competition for independent traders to show off their flair and spread Christmas spirit through Northwich, and we are appealing to readers to help us choose our winner.

We are running the competition in conjunction with Northwich Town Council in a bid to boost our independent shopkeepers.

Our photographer has been out and about in the town centre to capture pictures of the Chirstmas windows, but we want readers to go and have a look themselves and pick up on the details that make each display special.

Votes can be cast here: or by ringing the Guardian on 01606 813647 and telling us what your favourite window is.

And you only have a week to cast your vote, with the deadline at 5pm next Wednesday, December 12.

The winner, who will receive a certificate and a bottle of something special courtesy of Northwich Town Council, will be announced on December 19.
