MANY pensioners will be hoping that the BBC reverses its intention to cease the free TV license for the over 75s from May 31.

From April, the BBC license is set to rise to £157.50 per year and this is a substantial financial burden for many pensioners.

We, the viewers, receive such a poor quality product from the BBC and we have so little control over this low quality output that the real question is should anyone have to pay for such mediocrity?
