THIS past year has been divisive.
From Brexit to a General Election, leadership battles, in-party fighting, debates over whether Scotland should get another independence vote... 2019 was a year for debate and arguments.
Xenophobia continues to be far too common, and the venom shown by some people during the election campaign was vile.
Whether you wanted to remain or leave, were a Conservative supporter, a Labour voter or backed some other party. I implore you all to leave the angst in 2019.
We are a nation of diversity, of hope, or young ambition. We have a younger generation fighting for the life of this planet – and for their future.
We need to be inspired, and look forward to a 2020 where we put our differences behind us and embrace what is it come.
Is it really too much to ask?
