I WOULD like to draw attention to what I am told is an ongoing parking issue at the Northwich Sainsbury’s store every time there is an artisan market on in the town.
On Saturday, October 12, I and a number of other shoppers were effectively stranded in the car park, unable to get out due to the parking chaos.
I was there for three hours and incurred a fine.
I spoke to the manager at the time who refused to take any responsibility for controlling the car park and advised me that ‘this happens every time there is an artisan market’!
Despite assurances that we would not be fined, a £70 parking charge notice has turned up in the post.
I have made a complaint to Sainsbury’s, but I do feel this is a matter that should be brought to the attention of your readers.
