SO, the Transport Secretary announced last week that Cheshire West and Chester Council would receive £436,018 to spend on road improvements.
This doesn’t tally with the November 2018 statement of the Minister for Roads that the north west would receive an extra £53 million for road repairs, with Cheshire West’s allocation being £3,525,000.
Or is this new figure in addition?
Let’s hope so because we sorely need it. I’m hearing a lot about new developments in recycled plastic road surfacing, that is more hardwearing than traditional asphalt.
When Cheshire West receives its allocation, it would be nice if they upgraded our balding roads instead of endlessly patching them.
