WE are so pleased to see PCC David Keane is stepping up efforts to stop illegal hunting.

Having attended his public meeting on the subject, we are hopeful things will change.

We look forward to his next public meeting on hunting after he has met all 11 MPs in Cheshire and other organisations with the idea of an event plan so all of us know where the hunts will be so we are forewarned and prepared.

His aim is that police improve the public safety aspect to avoid hunts spilling over on the main roads, blocking country roads, invading gardens, and land where they are unwanted plus railway lines with the use of drones to gather evidence.

We wish Mr Keane every success in achieving this for our own wellbeing but more importantly for the wellbeing of our wildlife.
