CHESHIRE East launched the Connected Communities Strategy in late 2017 to enable the council, residents and community organisations to come together to provide mutual help and support.

The aim is to establish 30 connected community centres by the end of 2018/19.

In Cheshire East we recognise that having a close working relationship with a range of venues within ‘hard to engage’ communities will ensure that the local authority and other partners are able to provide a stable and consistent presence to work with residents and key stakeholders to address local issues.

In turn those services will be developed with the community, from coffee mornings, lunch clubs or toddler groups, computer classes and line dancing, to learning a language, sharing a problem or support for stroke sufferers or those living with dementia – there’s something for everyone.

Every centre will have a computer tablet connected to our Live Well community information website.
