AT this time of year a number of us are plagued by a deluge of leaves, none of which are from our property.
Removal of these simply creates space for more to blow in. What about a local leaf litter day on the first weekend in November when everyone gets out and fills their recycling bin with their share?
That would mean no more hassle and the pavement would be safer to walk on for the rest of winter. Make it a family or community thing and get to know your neighbours.
