A MAIL shot I recently received asked me to say which of a long list of alternatives I thought would do most to improve Northwich.
Faced with such an abundance of choice I eventually suggested the installation of pollution monitors to check air quality in the most congested traffic areas, such as by the end of the vast new Lifestyle Centre and the Co-op supermarket.
Then I remembered that I had suggested this in the Guardian newspaper several months ago and had asked our MP Graham Evans to raise it with CWaC.
I have heard nothing since and assumed it had been put on hold. But if there is a problem with high levels of the most dangerous exhaust pollutants, action should be taken promptly, or if monitors give the “all clear”, we should be told.
