OUT of curiosity we went to the Cafe Terrazzo to see Billy Nomates in the Lit Fest.
We were surprised to discover that the man is a literary genius. His days of writing for the Guardian have certainly helped him to develop his craft.
He had the full crowd in hysterics talking about his stroke which we had assumed was just part of his character. He talked fondly about Ms Nomates but alas we did not get to meet her. Maybe she was made up.
He used some fabulous actors to read excerpts from his works including a stand up piece for a woman which you would swear was written for a woman. We would like to thank the Guardian for giving us Billy. He clearly still has a large fan club.
Brilliant show and we nominate it as show of the fest. We will definitely be booking for next year. Well done to the organisers too. Brilliant job.
