1874 Northwich have appointed one of their former players as their new first-team manager.
Rory Fallon, who has been out of management for 12 months, steps in as Chris Herbert's replacement following a successful spell in charge of Wythenshawe Town.
He has earned a reputation for building competitive sides and developing a dynamic, attacking style of play, winning promotion to step four in 2025.
“1874 is a club I’ve followed since playing here for a short period of time and when the job got offered to me then I jumped at the chance to come back," he said.
"It’s always had terrific support and on a human level some really good people behind the scenes.
"I have a good relationship with Wayne Goodison and he always spoke very highly of his time managing the club.”
As a player, Fallon represented a number of clubs including FC United of Manchester and 1874.
On the style of football supporters can expect to see, Fallon added: “I like my sides to play aggressive, attacking football on the front foot.
"I favour high energy football which will hopefully entertain the supporters. I want my team to have players with character and spirit but above else I want to create a winning team.”
And on returning to management, he said: “I am really delighted to be here and looking forward to the challenge ahead in a very demanding but exciting league.
"After a year out of managing I felt the time was right for myself personally to get back in football, I’ve missed it immensely.”
