1874 Northwich and Winsford United have unveiled their end-of-season award winners.

The two teams were rivals in the Midland League Premier Division during 2025/26, with 1874 ending Winsford’s promotion hopes in the play-offs semi-finals before dishing out the same treatment to Northwich Victoria in the play-off final.

Niall Osborne, Mark Jones, Rob Hopley, Matt Woolley, Liam Fitzpatrick, Mike Hayes and Jacson Coppack were among the 1874 award winners on a night that celebrated the club’s return to Step 4 on the football pyramid.

Osborne was the big winner, sharing the Paul Stockton supporters’ player of the season prize with skipper Jones as well as the Phil Lea players’ player of the season honour with Hopley.

Club legend Woolley collected the Brian Ashley manager’s player of the season award, while the media player of the season gong went to Fitzpatrick.

Hayes was celebrated as the club’s top scorer with 17 goals in 24 games as well as scoring the winner in the 1-0 play-off final success.

The Toddy Barlow goal of the season prize went to Jacson Coppack for his effort away to Northwich Victoria on Boxing Day.

Winsford United also reflected on a strong campaign at their presentation event.

As well as their close call in the promotion hunt, they reached the last 16 of the FA Vase for the first time in their history before falling to West Didsbury & Chorlton.

Kal Boyle, Elliott Coleman, Blake Robinson, Sam Latham, Reece Davies and Ollie Pope were handed awards.

Boyle received the players’ player of the season honour, while Dom Johnson and Dean Johnson revealed Elliott Coleman as the manager’s player of the season.

Blake Robinson picked up the supporters’ honour, while Michael Unwin chose Sam Latham as the chairman’s player of the season.

Kitman Ron Bogue’s player of the season was confirmed as Reece Davies.

The leading scorer prize was collected by Ollie Pope, who netted 24 times.
