1874 Northwich are inviting supporters to turn out in force for a special day of celebration on Saturday when the club marks its 13th birthday with a home fixture against Tividale, writes Callum Waters.
Dubbed “Gather the Greens”, the event will combine football, festivities and community spirit, with a host of offers and attractions designed to make it a day to remember.
Supporters attending the match can take advantage of a ‘gate’ offer, which allows one additional adult to enter for just £5 when accompanying a full-paying adult.
The initiative aims to encourage football fans to bring friends and family along to experience the atmosphere at the supporter-owned club.
Adding to the occasion, the club’s beer festival will also take place on the same day, featuring a range of local ales and craft beers for supporters to enjoy after the game at Lostock Social Club from 5.30pm to 11pm. Tickets are £15, which includes £10 of beer tokens.
Fans can also look forward to a free slice of cake with any hot drink purchase, while a raffle for a signed 1874 Northwich shirt will give one lucky supporter a memorable memento of the club’s milestone day.
A club spokesperson said: “The ‘Gather the Greens’ day is about celebrating how far we’ve come in 13 years and thanking everyone who’s been part of the journey.
“It’s a chance for the whole community to come together and enjoy a great day of football and friendship.”
Supporters are encouraged to wear their green proudly and join in the celebrations as 1874 Northwich mark another chapter in their remarkable story.
Kick-off at Townfield is scheduled for 3pm.
