RYAN Giggs was spotted watching Witton Albion’s latest pre-season friendly at the U Lock It Stadium in Wincham last night.
Albion defeated League Two outfit Salford City FC – the club which Giggs co-owns alongside fellow former Manchester United stars David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes – 5-4 in an entertaining warm-up game to the new 2023/24 season.
The result may have surprised the former Wales manager, with goals from a trialist, Rokka (two), Taylor Kennerley and Joe Duckworth (penalty) sealing a fine outcome for the Northern Premier League side.

Giggs, 49, and his previously mentioned former Reds teammates from the late 1990s and early 2000s each have a 10 per cent stake in Salford City, after a takeover of the team in 2014.
One of the most highly decorated footballers in UK history, Giggs won the Premier League title with United 13 times, the UEFA Champions League twice and the FA Cup four times to list just some of his major successes.
