Witton Albion went 577 minutes without conceding a goal and when they finally did leak a solitary effort that decided Tuesday night's FA Cup replay against Belper Town it came from the head of one of their own players.
James Short got himself between his keeper Chris Renshaw and Belper's Phil Watt, whose header on target looked to be well within Renshaw's reach until the full-back redirected the ball into his own net - as seen in this fabulous sequence of pictures by Karl Brooks Photography.
Carl Macauley's side hadn't conceded a goal since the 63rd-minute strike by Nantwich Town's Joseph Mwasile in the 3-0 loss at the Weaver Stadium on August bank holiday Monday.
Since then Witton had kept five clean sheets, including the 0-0 draw at Belper on Saturday that brought the need for Tuesday's replay.
The two sides went at it for 190 minutes before Short's unfortunate clearance 10 minutes into extra time settled matters.
