BEN Hedley has extended a temporary stay with Witton Albion for a second month.
The 18-year-old has impressed during a series of mature performances in central midfield since agreeing to an initial month-long loan from League Two side Morecambe.
“It’s a coup for us,” said manager Carl Macauley.
“I spoke to Jim Bentley, Morecambe’s manager, and he’s happy for Ben to continue his development by playing more games for us.
“He’s done well every time he’s represented us, and we’ve been more than happy the contribution that he’s made.”
Hedley has made eight starts in the Northern Premier League’s top-flight, helping his side to second in the Premier Division table.
