WINNINGTON Park have home advantage when they take on Southern Nomads in the Cheshire RFU Bowl last four next month.
Roger Pickering’s men, preparing for a life at a lower level following their relegation from South Lancs/Cheshire Division One last season, were paired with the Isle of Man outfit in a draw published by the county governing body this week.
They are scheduled to meet at Burrows Hill on Saturday, August 27, kick off 3pm.
The Northwich side will travel in the opposite direction seven days later when they make a short trip to the island to face Vagabonds in a curtain-raiser for the league.
Park’s most recent appearance in the final was three years ago, when they lost to Crewe and Nantwich.
However they did win back-to-back editions in 2010, and again the following year, after victories against Anselmians (19-14) and Dukinfield (29-22) respectively.
